Sarah Ward, Executive Director

Sarah has been educating less fortunate youth in the arts since 1993. She is responsible for developing and implementing art programming for youth in South Chicago, fundraising, inviting visiting artists, supervising master level interns, and volunteers. She brings important professional assets to the Center. She has a master's degree in art therapy and is a licensed art therapist. She believes that art plays a vital role not only in cognitive development and personal well being, but also in community building and social responsibility.

 

Tasha Robinson, Program Director

Tasha Robinson, Program DirectorProgram Director, Tasha Robinson, is responsible for providing strategic and operational support and management for the Center's programs. She works closely with the Executive Director to define the Center's strategic and programming priorities and focuses on operationalizing new program models and linking them with funding sources. She is responsible for providing leadership and direction for program strategy and outcome measurement. Ms. Robinson received her B.S. in Business Management/Human Resources with a minor in Psychology from Bradley University and has over 10 years of youth development and program management experience.

 

Alanna Garth, Studio Manager

Alanna Garth, Studio Manager
Studio Manager, Alanna Garth, is a community member and has been taking classes at the Center since it opened in 2001. Alanna manages teachers, students, interns, and volunteers in the after-school program. She is a role model to the Center participants and is currently studying Early Childhood Education at Richard J. Daley College.

Anthony Steele, studio manager


Studio Manager, Anthony Steele, began taking classes at the Center when it first opened in 2001. Now 22 years old, Anthony assists teaching artists both in and after-school and inspires the younger children with his amazing artwork. He has recently started teaching art classes at the Center and assisting in the in-school program. Through the Center, Anthony has worked with other not-for-profits and artists producing public art pieces. We believe he is going to do great things with his life.
